Local Origin Studio was established in 2020 by Ar. Saikiran with a vision to create architecture that is deeply rooted in strong design fundamentals and the local context, treating architecture as a living entity rather than merely an object to be celebrated.
The studio engages with diverse disciplines, varying project scales, construction techniques, and meticulous detailing. Each project is driven by an exploration of materials and craftsmanship, expanding spatial experiences through openness while respecting the inherent constraints of construction and physicality.
Saikiran pursued a Master of Architecture (Architectural Design) in 2020 from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, after completing his Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) in 2013 from JNAFAU, Hyderabad. Before establishing his own practice, he gained five years of professional experience working under Ar. Sridhar Reddy. During this period, he worked on a diverse range of residential, commercial, and institutional projects across various scales, developing strong expertise in architectural design, planning, and project execution.
